Retrievable operation is the process of removing a part of the rubber layer in order to increase the tread depth.
For that purpose, in the design of some tires is provided additional rubber layerin order to increase the depth of the tread.
Regroovingdoes not affect the strength and stability of the tire.
Regrooving allows to increase significantly and safely the grip the tire.
Regrooving can be made when the remaining tread depth is between 2 and 4 mm.
By regroovingthe tread depth can be increased up to 6-8 mm, which is equivalent to a half-worn tread.
Strength and security of the tire are not affected if regroovingis performed according to the tire manufacturer's recommendations.
After regrooving is obtained average 20-25% extra mileage.
