The tailormade flexible polymer matrix of the Cool Chili™ Compound contains strong molecular chains which ensure a higher resistance to unevenness of the road leading to less abrasion.
Especially adapting the pattern structure to quickly drain out appearing water – also out of very wide tyres - the WinterContact™ TS 870 P is fitted with four big circumferential grooves.
A very special feature of this pattern are reshaping sipes placed in the center rib. The more a tyre gets worn, the stiffer it’s pattern will become automatically improving dry handling performance but compromising in winter characteristics.
